CCAI presents three major exhibitions annually by local, regional, or national artists in its CCAI Courthouse Gallery located in the Carson City Courthouse, 885 E Musser St. Commissioned essays accompany these shows.

Additional exhibitions, primarily by Nevada artists, take place in the Community Center’s Sierra Room, where all City boards and commissions hold their public meetings at 851 E William St, Carson City.

The Initiative presents its high school and college student shows in the Community Development Building [the Brick], 108 E Proctor Street, Carson City.

Previously, CCAI has produced an annual residency/exhibition at St. Mary’s Art Center, Virginia City [2008 – 2015] and monthly exhibitions at Comma Coffee [2004 – 2006].

Other projects have taken place at the Carson City Library, Classy Seconds thrift store, a garden shop, a Harley-Davidson showroom, and a series of pop-up shows in a store front.
